Ensuring Device Security
Microsoft Defender Device Security
Core Isolation
Core isolation is a feature in Windows Security that helps protect your device from malware and other attacks. This feature uses virtualization technology to protect your operating system and other sensitive processes on your device.
Memory integrity: Prevents malicious software from accessing and altering critical memory areas.
Security Processor (TPM)
The Security Processor (TPM) is a hardware-based security module that helps protect important data on your computer. TPM is used to securely store encryption keys, fingerprint scans, and other sensitive information.

Next-Generation Security Measures
BitLocker
BitLocker is a disk encryption feature found in Windows operating systems. It allows you to encrypt the data on your hard drive or removable drive (such as a USB drive or memory card). Encryption protects your data against unauthorized physical access.
When you enable BitLocker, you need to create an encryption key. This key is used to access your data.
BitLocker encrypts the drive you select. After the encryption process, your data can only be read using the correct encryption key.
Windows Hello
Windows Hello is an authentication technology that offers more secure and convenient methods to sign in to your Windows devices instead of using passwords. These methods include facial recognition, iris recognition, fingerprint, or PIN.
It is much more secure than traditional passwords. Passwords are more vulnerable to hacking or guessing. Windows Hello provides greater security by using biometric data or strong PINs.
Security Key
FIDO2 (Fast Identity Online 2) security keys are physical devices you can use instead of passwords. These keys can be used for two-factor authentication (2FA) or passwordless authentication.
A FIDO2 security key can be in the form of a USB device or an NFC tag. When you insert it into your device or tap it to your phone, it creates a key pair to confirm your authentication. This key pair can only be used by your device and your FIDO2 security key
